Genesis Salinas-Longoria is a personal injury attorney who began her career with Lopez Law Firm in 2021 as a law clerk while pursuing her Juris Doctor. With nearly five years of experience in personal injury law, she joined the firm as an attorney shortly after obtaining her license.
Genesis’s academic journey began in her hometown of Edinburg, Texas, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. During her studies, she developed a strong foundation in public speaking, persuasive communication, lecturing, and research, with a focus on interpersonal relationships and family communication patterns. Shortly after completing her graduate studies, she began her legal education at St. Mary’s University School of Law.
In recognition of her academic achievements at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Genesis was awarded the Dean’s Law Scholarship to attend St. Mary’s. Throughout law school, she distinguished herself through a series of notable accomplishments. In her first year, she was named an Octo-Finalist in the Linda and Dave Schlueter First Year Moot Court Competition and was competitively selected to join St. Mary’s nationally recognized Trial Team.
During her second year, Genesis was selected as a Student Attorney for the Center for Legal and Social Justice, where she gained practical experience advocating for clients. She also held leadership and service roles as a board member of the Hispanic Law Student Association and the Immigration Law Student Association, and as a mentor in the SM1LE Mentorship Program.
In her third year, Genesis was competitively selected to participate in Baylor University’s prestigious Academy of the Advocate program in St. Andrew’s, Scotland. She concluded her law school career by earning an advocacy award and receiving her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2023.
Genesis is a licensed attorney with the State Bar of Texas and an active member of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association. She is dedicated to advocating for her clients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and well-represented. For Genesis, the most rewarding aspect of her work is securing justice and providing meaningful guidance to those she serves.
