I am a personal injury trial lawyer. My entire practice is devoted to helping injured people like you and your loved ones.
I am proud of the work I do and proud to tell people I’m a lawyer. But the image of trial lawyers like me has been poisoned by gimmicky names, loud personalities, and commercials with stunts like hammers, flamethrowers, and million-dollar jets.
The truth is that it’s easy to make fun of lawyers until you need one. Nobody ever hopes to need an injury lawyer like me and I often meet my clients at some of the worst moments of their life.
I share this to be candid with you about my profession and to respect any second thoughts you may have about whether to hire an attorney. Most folks would rather not have to hire a lawyer, but sometimes it’s necessary.
Allow me to introduce myself.
You should be able to evaluate my qualifications by looking at my LinkedIn profile and reading our firm philosophy.
The short version of my professional history begins at Baylor Law School, where I was an editor on the law review and a mock trial champion. After law school I worked at a big firm in Dallas representing cancer victims and their families. I have handled cases in Texas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and California. After my time in Dallas, I moved back to San Antonio, a place where I worked in city government before law school. I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio has always held a special place in my heart as the “big city” we would visit on vacation and to go back-to-school shopping.
I am a first-generation college student and the first in my family to earn a college degree.
When I returned to San Antonio, I went to work on my own and then at an injury firm working many of the same types of cases our firm handles today.
Over the course of my career, I have won awards and worked on hundreds of cases. I have stood up to some of the biggest corporations in the country, and have recovered millions in verdicts and settlements for my injured clients.
At work, I get to represent people every day. I love that a large part of my day is talking to people and getting to know their story. I enjoy being able to answer tough questions, give them good advice, and help them recover when they have been wrongfully hurt. Some of the happiest days on the job are when a case is finally resolved and we hand our clients a check. I love hearing the stories about how they will use the money to help themselves and their family. My career allows me to make a good living while being of service to others and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Like most Americans, I love an underdog. My legal career has always been fueled by a passion for fighting those who take the little guy for granted. I love that my job allows me to represent people against some of the biggest law firms, insurance companies, and corporations in the country.
I can’t promise that the litigation process will be painless, that we will always win, or that you will recover millions of dollars. What I can promise is that I will fight hard. I will be transparent and honest with you, and do my best to recover the most money in the shortest amount of time. That being said, suing someone never takes a very short amount of time. But I will be with you every step of the way, until it’s done.
I try to keep up with my social media profiles so that people can get to know more about me. The opinions are my own and not necessarily the firm’s. I’m sometimes serious, sometimes light-hearted. We may not agree on some things, or even most things. But I promise that any differences we may have about things other than your case will not affect my ability to fight for you and give you great results. If you don’t think that’s possible, then maybe we aren’t the right fit.
